Crossing Thresholds of Visibility, Revenue, and Impact, Pt. III: How Each Archetype Crosses Thresholds
Note: The following content was first delivered as an asynchronous audio teaching in the first iteration of The Vision Society, recorded and delivered by Daje Aloh. Enjoy.
When you reach a threshold, it's important to recognize that these are not moments that are punishing you and they are not about whether or not you're "meant" to do the work you're feeling called to do. These are moments of reckoning—where a new level of self-recognition, embodiment, and action is required to move forward.
Each archetype encounters a distinct visibility threshold, revenue threshold, and impact threshold on their path.
The Dreamer → Risk-Taker
For the Dreamer to evolve into the Risk-Taker, they must stop hiding behind ideation and step into public expression. They need to tell people what they do, show up for the work, and share their vision—even before they feel fully ready.
Threshold of Visibility: The Dreamer must stop waiting for clarity or perfection and start putting their work into the world. Visibility at this stage means practicing being seen, building confidence, and allowing their vision to take shape in the public eye.
Threshold of Revenue: Moving from $0 to $5K months requires creating an exchangeable offer. The Dreamer must stop avoiding money conversations and start learning how to receive—pricing their work, naming its value, and making the first sales.
Threshold of Impact: The Dreamer shifts from personal exploration to public contribution. Their work moves beyond what they love and what they’re passionate about—it starts to take the shape of service, offering real value to others instead of staying trapped in endless refinement.
The Risk-Taker → Magician
To step into the Magician archetype, the Risk-Taker must move beyond short-term hustle and become a recognizable force. They must be willing to be known for what they do—to refine their identity in the marketplace and develop a message that makes their work sought after.
Threshold of Visibility: Visibility at this stage is about owning expertise, getting clear on impact, and letting go of the need for external validation. The Risk-Taker must be willing to be seen for who they are, take a stand in their work, and cultivate a consistent, clear message that draws in the right people.
Threshold of Revenue: Moving from $5K to $15K months requires creating repeatable income streams, clarifying their value proposition, and developing systems that last beyond a single launch. This means being willing to test, refine, and iterate instead of relying on one-off bursts of effort.
Threshold of Impact: The shift in impact comes from moving beyond selling on urgency and effort and instead embodying their medicine and mastery. At this stage, marketing is no longer about listing credentials—it’s about demonstrating depth. People trust them not just because of what they’ve learned but because of how they live and embody their work.
The Magician → Weaver
For the Magician to transition into the Weaver archetype, they must embrace high-level thought leadership—moving beyond being an expert and stepping into visionary leadership. Their visibility shifts from presenting expertise to articulating a unique perspective that shapes their industry or field.
Threshold of Visibility: Visibility at this stage requires long-term positioning—no longer optimizing for short-term launches but building a legacy of thought leadership. Their vision is bigger than them now, requiring them to hold a strong perspective and bring something new to the table.
Threshold of Revenue: Moving from $15K to $30K months requires leveraging knowledge into scalable offers—courses, memberships, and team-supported services. The Magician must stop trading time for money and build a business model that allows growth without burnout.
Threshold of Impact: The shift in impact comes from moving beyond individual transformation to influencing the field. This is when their ideas start circulating in spaces they didn’t even anticipate—being invited to speak at conferences, lead summits, and collaborate at a higher level. Their perspective becomes sought-after, not just their service.
The Weaver → Next Evolution
For the Weaver, the final threshold is about letting the vision be carried by others. This is often the hardest transition—learning to release control and trust the right team to hold and expand the work.
Threshold of Visibility: Visibility shifts from being personality-driven to methodology-driven. The Weaver must step beyond being the face of the brand and allow the vision itself to carry momentum. This doesn’t mean building a corporation—it means building something that can outlive them.
Threshold of Revenue: Moving beyond $30K+ months requires expanding leadership and partnerships. It means stepping into higher-level conversations, connecting with peers at the same level, and building business ecosystems rather than working in isolation.
Threshold of Impact: The Weaver moves from leading a successful business to leading a legacy. Their ideas spread beyond their immediate network—people reference their work, adopt their frameworks, and carry their ideas forward in ways they never imagined. This is where the greatest impact is felt.
Each threshold invites us into greater visibility, greater revenue, and greater impact. But the path forward isn’t just about action—it’s about meeting these transitions with agility, grace, and care.
