Rewriting the Inner Myth

A Three-Month Council for Weaving New Realities in Times of Deep Change

[ Register for the Summer Cohort → ]

Life, love, and leadership are asking you to let go of what you have known and step into a new story of yourself.

You don’t have to do that work alone.

What you’re experiencing is something that all of our ancestors would have recognized as sacred. You are allowing yourself to undergo deep existential change. You’re not rushing to fill in the gaps for who you are becoming and what to believe now. You’re letting the mystery meet you and work you to reveal the medicine, wisdom, and the gold in your soul.

Weavers I: Rewriting the Inner Myth is a space for remembering who you are at the level of the soul.

As change moves you to the very depths of yourself, you don’t have to hide who you’re becoming. Inside of this 3-Month journey, we will:

  • Work with the medicine of story to map the terrains of the soul.

  • Develop inner scaffolding through witness, eco-somatic listening, and practice to move through change without further fragmentation.

  • Build a toolkit of resources that will support you to fully surrender to the thresholds of change and transformation.

Schedule:

  • All calls 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. pst.

  • Main Sessions: July 7, July 14, Aug. 4, Aug.11, Sept. 1, Sept. 8

  • Integration Councils: July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15

Participant Testimonial

Weavers was the medicine I didn’t know I needed. I first came to this work because I felt lost and wanted someone to tell me what to do… but what I received instead was a renewed connection to self and Source that served as the guide, and continues to do so. A priceless investment that taught me how to come closer to my own Truth. The journey through Weavers uncovered fractals of stories that were deeply ingrained within and showed me the fertile ground and the rich inner landscape we all have access to when we take the time to sit with it, to listen to it, to attune to it.

Dajé’s gentle but powerful approach is one of a kind. Her work is not typical. She will not give you a “standardized” blue print, but instead will guide you to uncover your own map - through story, through vision, through deep intimate connection with self and Earth. Weavers left me in deep awe of being in practice. Not just learning about it but fully leaning in and devoting yourself to the process. Highly recommend this to anyone desiring a raw and authentic approach to life, to work, to being a creative human with limitless potential.

Maybe you’re exhausted from repeating the same patterns, running the same loops, and meeting the same characters over and over again.

Often these patterns cannot be addressed from more and more self-criticism and picking ourselves apart. We need a deeper, older, wilder wisdom that can reach down into the nooks and crannies of us. A wisdom that is older than a practitioner, method, or a coach. Story holds that wisdom. And it is one of the oldest technologies for deep inner change work on the planet.

Allow the medicine of story to reach you in the places where manifestation culture, over-intellectualizing, self-analysis and mindset work cannot.

Some of the deepest thresholds of change and initiation we move through don’t ask us for more rules and discipline. They ask us to soften in ways our ancestors would have recognized: in circle through the reflection of council, poetry, storied inquiry, fairytales, fable, and myth. Inside of Weavers, we weave in these practices with integrative somatic parts work, listening, and the creative process.

Why story? Because it saved my life.

Through my mid-twenties, as I became a practitioner of story, I realized that the healing power of story wasn’t just about the performance of it…

…but there was something about the way that stories settle down into your bones in ways that a formula or a framework cannot.

I would walk into bars with my guitar as a totally odd black girl singing about grandmother ghosts and telling tales about black birds and watch grown, hardened men weep over miller lites as I did.

Shoot, I was weeping, too. Right there on the mic.

I would allow poetry and story to use me as a vessel to sing to the parts of us that are fighting to stay soft and human in a world that is so, so hard.

I remember walking into a men’s penitentiary over ten years ago, sweating profusely as I got to support transitioning convicts (ex-murders, rapists, hardened veterans, etc.) into making new choices, prioritizing their character, and meeting themselves with grace through the power of story and the hero’s journey.

These experiences led me to seek deeper training at the intersection of trauma resolution and story work, working primarily with visionaries, entrepreneurs, and creatives (my people) birthing whole new worlds into form.

I’m still deep in that training arc, truthfully. But even still, I’ve learned and integrated enough of that medicine to be able to help hundreds of creatives through Storywork Studio over the past six years.

I went from escaping a fundamentalist cult in the middle of the night, afraid to use my voice to consciously choosing a future where I get to thrive.

What helped me to reach for liberation over and over and over again wasn’t more self-help protocols or even a particular kind of therapy (even though I have had plenty of therapeutic support).

It was realizing that I have many, many, many more options than what I’d been given in the closed system of belief that my psyche was formed in.

It was learning that I get to choose what story I get to believe about myself. What story I get to live. And that no one could take the agency to create my own story away from me.

This realization didn’t come to me in isolation though.

I was inspired to reach for liberation by reading stories, becoming a poet, dancing with fairytale, and having soul encounters with myth.

What is inner myth work?
It is the making of new stories from the level of the soul.

When exploring story work as an inner process, it becomes a powerful way to see what stories the ancients and ancestors have impressed within you and how those stories have shaped the kind of adult you are today. Once we can orient to the stories that are already running in the background, we can then to begin to parse and consciously choose what stories are useful and which are not.

Inner myth work is an act of regenesis.

It’s soul regeneration and self-forgiveness work and the willingness to explore a new way of being with ourselves. It’s an exercise of choice in places where we feel we have no choice to shift, change, or become a new expression of ourselves. It’s gritty, soul-enlivening medicine. It’s not pretty or clean or intellectual, but rather a re-storying process that invites us to rewrite our inner script for life.

Participant Testimonial

This container has allowed me to drop back into my body, listen deeply, and ask the Earth for help. I’ve asked these incredible forces around us to guide me back to myself and show me what I haven’t been seeing. The changes I’ve experienced in the last two months are remarkable... it makes me wonder what I was missing before I became deliberately tuned in!

A Space of Storied Inquiry

Over the course of three months, we’ll meet three chapters of storied inquiry together.

Month one

Story Individuation

Where are you being invited to let go of old stories, identities, social contracts and ways of being in favor of a path of radical authenticity, self-honor, and liberation? Where are you being invited to leave what you’ve always known to step into a new story of the sacred self?

Perhaps you are moving through a divorce, ending a relationship, closing a business, or opening one that is requiring a new version of you to show up. Yet, life is still requiring you to show up even amidst the tower moments.

In this chapter, we will engage the wisdom of story, poetry, and Rites of Practice to find refuge in the Earth, ground down through body, and meet the mystery together.

Month two

Story Initiation

When we leave an old story, identity, relationship, or social nervous system, the body often wants to move toward a new thing quickly. There is, however, a lot of wisdom to be found in slowing things down to take care of the transitions. In making altar and offerings and listening until we feel the clear “yes” to begin again.

When we are being begun by this threshold, sometimes Life will continue to peel away all that is not the essential nature and in that creative process, we have to decide who we are becoming, lest we get pulled back into the old story. This is a threshold of medicine retrieval, visionary process, and nurturing the inner capacity to hold what we feel called to create even after the “download dopamine” fades.

In this chapter, we will explore the weaving of new stories, receiving and integrating visionary medicine, and growing the capacity to to nurture new potentials through the Inner Gardening Process™.

Month three

Story Integration

After moving through the initiatory process, we often feel we are teeming with lifeforce, ideas, creative courage and a desire to bring our offerings back into community.

This new, antsy energy is natural.

When you descend down into the depths of yourself and tend to the inner stories living in your body, your creativity and lifeforce gets liberated. We often feel like we have something to offer or to bring back.

This chapter is about confirming the deep alchemy of initiation and allowing ourselves to emerge, integrating back into community feeling strong and anchored in the work that was done

A Space of Shared Practice

In Weavers, we prioritize simplicity, spaciousness, and shared inquiry in our practices, deeply anchoring into uncomplicated rituals that soften the inner inquiry and allow us to access individuated truth and liberation.

Weekly Storied Inquiry

Each week we gather, we’ll spend two hours moving through storied inquiry and bringing these questions into the body through group integrative somatic parts work.

Monthly Integration Council

At the end of every month before we break for a week of integration, we’ll gather for integration council where the facilitator will primarily be muted and participants can share.

Daily Rituals of Practice

You’ll be given a simple resource toolkit of ritual practice for integrating the process we will move through together and supporting the subconscious re-patterning process.

“When we reach for myth to help recover our own stories, we make connections with the little I and the big We, and in doing so shrug off unnecessary loneliness.

Myths are north stars to a culture deserving of the name, culture coming from the Latin, colere, which means to till the ground. To make a culture you dig down into a story. That story needs to be robust enough to explain a few things whilst also accommodating mystery.

Myths hold together heaven and earth, they are a crossroads between the timeless and the timebound. Myths are the connecting tissue between us and the universe.”
