Abide is for tired visionaries, creatives, and lovers of land and culture who are looking for reminders that their work and their voice still matter.
And that change can be shaped (and so can culture).
In the midst of change, most of us are not left without tools. In the midst of change we are not all completely left without resources. Many of us have ears, eyes, a nose, a mouth, skin, breath, and heart. We have north, south, east, west. We have intuition. We ahve instinct. We have the rising and setting of the sun.
We have soil, starts, moss, wind, trees, temperature, and the gradation of the sky from light to dark. We have a map in nature. A compass in our bodies. A guide in the stars. We are no lost. Even in the very depths of the mystery, we are not lost. We are not lost. We are not lost.
In the face of imminent change and global unrest, may we look to poetry and prayer for reminders that our grief is generative, our presence is restorative, and that when we listen (and surrender) to the invocations we are receiving from the animate forces of nature to continue creating and to keep offering our medicine, we cultivate the conditions for a shift in culture toward our wholeness, toward our liberation, toward sweeter ways of relating.
What We’ll Explore…
Over the course of seven days, you’ll receive seven emails with an audio reflection, writing prompts, and a gentle invocation from vulture, crow, and raven.
day one: loss as alchemy
day two: nested deaths
day three: the unexpected, eruptions
day four: the body as humus
day five: a dance with moss
day six: exhortation, exhaltation
day seven: ecstatic grief
Phase One: Decomposition
Melting, de-forming, decaying, releasing expired identities and stories, getting wide and spacious in the body, and merging with the soul of the Earth. This phase is about allowing the process of soul-level death to shed your layers and invite you to become a vessel for honest expressions and divine intentions.
Phase Two: Sublimation
Eruption, evaporation, transfiguration, and surrender to the process of being lifted up into a higher beauty. This phase is about discovering a wider perspective, new insights, and sensations. Here, you’ll be invited to find your voice, story a new world and new language, and trust this sacred unfolding that’s happening.
Phase One: Coeslescene
Holy intertwinement, unfurling, tendriling, rooting. wilding, softening, and curling yourself around larger root structures. This phase is about finding your solidity, your identity, your resolve, your essence, your emanation, your power, and your light in nourished inseperateness – in your radical, undisturbed, irrevocable, and inherent belonging to this big, wide Earth.
Abide is a series of love letters, a sacred weaving of poetry, prayer, and encouragement, and an invitation to write the futures you long to be apart of.
On the morning of October 22 at 10:00 a.m. mst, we’ll open our seven-day writing ritual with a live virtual ceremony. Afterwards, you’ll receive a daily email with an audio reflection, an invocation from our witnesses; Vulture, Crow, and Raven, and a writing prompt for further reflection and integration.

Our Witnesses
Over the course of our seven days together we will invite the voice and the gaze of three witnesses: Vulture, avante garde messenger of hope in the midst of change; Crow, our guide for watching, waiting, and harmonzing with the spiralic cycles of life and death; and Raven, our guide for seeing the prophetic, the poetry, and the prayer.
In our humanness and uncertainty, let’s allow the animate forces of our lands show us how to hold the pain of change. These kin have offered themselves up to this ritual as witnesses.
Inside, you’ll receive three sound beds, careful instructions, and invocational prayers to connect with the energies of our witness. You will also be invited to call on these kin for wisdom in moving through change and give them an offering in exchange – your voice, your grief, your carnage, your self-kindness, your song, your dance.
Vulture is an avante garde messenger of hope in the midst of change. He comes to remind us of our vitality, the blessing of lungs, and the texture of our breath as we stand in our aftermaths. Vulture supports us in witnessing death, change, and endings, helping us to locate our digestive instinct and to surrender to change processes, no matter how dark or horrific they are or continue to be. Vulture helps us reckon with the terms of change and how these times call us into conscious decomposition. Vulture helps us surrender to the next “right” thing, loss as nutrition, and the way that decomposition grants us an opportunity to truly grasp our interconnectedness.
Crow is our guide for watching, waiting, and harmonizing with the spiralic cycles of life and death. Crow is a storyteller whose call is a signal of presence. “It’s time”, says Crow, “to weave a new story. To sing a new song. To dance a new dance.” Crow comes when there is cleaning up to do, when the process of regeneration lends itself to sublimation, transmutation, and transfiguration. Nothing is wasted with Crow. All things that once were lost causes may now become new. Crow comes with the spirit of radical redemption. It’s time to seek the beauty in the chaos. It’s time to write our stories anew.
Raven is our guide for seeing the prophetic, the poetry, the prayer. Raven sees. There is no end to grief. Grief is a garden made from the stories of many many hands, hearts, lungs, bodies Raven sees. All timelines. All potentials. Every possibility. Raven sees. Raven sings into cracks of time. Raven invites us to hold these states of change through a prophetic lens – a lens with eyes in many places, a lens that is one with all things else. What future are we imagining? And how might these imaginings shape themselves as subtle blueprints for loving, making, shaping our lives?

Storyteller, Facilitator, and Ecosomatic Depth Coach
Welcome love, I’m Dajé. As a Memphis-born, Appalachian-cured storyteller, story doula, and ecosomatic depth coach; I am here to support seekers, lovers, crafters, and kin in finding and singing the deep song of their lives.
There are new stories, new ways, and new templates for meeting life that long to be born into our collective awareness. To nurture new stories, we must get low and listen. We must turn on the ears of the psyche, and call them forth from the deep.
This is my work as a story doula – calling forth true and deep liberation from the collective subconscious and bringing it into the light.
